The set also includes a very stable and aesthetic black display stand with description plates with the name of the ship printed on it. The Gneisenau was a WWII German battleship that entered service on May 21, 1938. Both Scharnhorst and Gneisenau were a new type of German battleship. They were characterized by greater size, speed and more powerful weapons. They were created in response to the expansion of the navy in France. Gneisenau took part in many combat operations, including the famous Operation Berlin in 1941, where it proved to be very effective. It was sunk on March 28, 1945 in Gdynia in order to block the port.
