The Tiger was a powerful German heavy tank used during World War II. It was designed as a response to the successes of the Soviet T-34 tanks and American Shermans. The Tiger I was known for its very thick armored shield, which provided excellent protection against enemy shells.
The Tiger in the late Ausf. E version has been reproduced with attention to detail in a modeling scale of 1:28. It has movable elements like a turret and a gun barrel, as well as rotating wheels and tracks. It is distinguished from the other Tigers in our collection by the wheels, suspension and colors characteristic of this version from the final period of the war. The elaborate set consists of 1207 elements and faithfully reflects the original shapes of its historical inspiration. Our powerful block tank has been covered with high-quality prints that do not wear off. The new, close-to-original color scheme deserves special attention and makes the model look dazzling! The construction of the tank has also changed. It is now even better and more accurate. We have also used a completely new drive wheel here. Additionally, the construction of the turret is completely different and refers to the original in detail, skillfully imitating interior elements. The set includes a mini model of the Maybach engine, which can be displayed next to the model or placed in the tank under the service hatch. The model has movable wheels and caterpillar tracks consisting of multiple links. Inside the vehicle you can place the tank ammunition included in the set. The hatches function perfectly and under them there is space for standard COBI figures. The whole set is complemented by a black plate with the printed name of the commander of Tiger 007 from Normandy. Build history, piece by piece, with COBI, and complete your collection today.
The Panzerkampfwagen VI, or Tiger, was a German heavy tank from World War II. Its characteristic shape is still recognizable around the world. The vehicle itself became a legend and is still present not only in historical materials, but also in pop culture. The first Tigers reached the front lines near Leningrad and in Tunisia in August/September 1942. The tank designed and manufactured by Henschel was very modern and effective. Unfortunately, its production consumed huge amounts of valuable raw materials and time. The Tiger I tanks and the few Tiger IIs had a significant impact on the course of warfare. The infamous and incredibly fearsome Tigers destroyed over 10,300 Allied tanks and 11,380 guns, with only 1,725 of their own losses.
