The Sopwith F.1 Camel is the most famous British fighter of the First World War. It was designed and built by the Sopwith Aviation Company. This machine gained fame due to its high combat efficiency and maneuverability. Sopwith Camel allowed to Britain to effectively fight for control in the air with German aircraft. Camel fighters shot down a total of 1294 enemy aircraft during the war. By mid-1918, Camel fighters had become somewhat obsolete due to insufficient speed and poor performance at higher altitudes. They were therefore intended for attacks on ground targets, also served as infantry support and harassed German ground forces.

At the controls of our model sits a figurine inspired by the figure of William Barker. This Canadian by origin is the most famous pilot flying Sopwith Camel aircraft. The Camel he piloted was the most effective fighter machine in RAF history. Barker shot down 46 planes and observation balloons in one year of service!

The COBI model carefully reproduces in a new 1:32 scale, a historic aircraft from the Great War. It has a movable propeller, ailerons of the wings and rotating wheels. High-quality prints perfectly reproduce the historical markings of the aircraft. We have completely abandoned stickers! The robust design makes it ideal for both play and exposure. The model contains a sensational figure of the pilot: Major William Barker, RAF Ace.
Thanks to the COBI building blocks, the legend of the Great War has returned in a beautiful edition.
