The Vickers Wellington was a British twin-engine, basic, medium-sized night bomber of the Second World War. From October 1940, it was also used by the Polish air force in Great Britain. This extremely successful aircraft was produced from 1937 until the end of the war in 1945. It was created in many different variants, which differed in equipment, not basic construction. Due to the low maneuverability, Wellingtons flew mainly at night. They also worked perfectly when patrolling the coast and as submarine hunters. They were also famous for their high resistance to damage sustained in combat.

The British Vickers Wellington Bomber was precisely reproduced from COBI construction blocks in a scale of 1:37. The aircraft is 53 cm long and has a wingspan of 71.5 cm. The preparation of such a huge model required the use of as many as 1162 elements. The set includes precise prints that do not wear off during intensive use. History enthusiasts will appreciate the printed historical markings of the 305th Bomb Squadron of the Wielkopolska and Lida Lands named after Marshal Józef Piłsudski. There was even a symbol of the Duck carrying a bomb! The aircraft has rotating propellers, folding wheels and an opening cabin in which you can place the two pilots included in the set. The hatch on the bottom of the plane opens and we can put block bombs there. The whole set is complemented by a plate with the name of the set printed on it.
This huge brick bomber model is not only a lot of fun building, but also a meeting with a solid dose of history. Build history, block by brick together with COBI!
