Yamato (大和) was a battleship built during World War II and served in the Imperial Japanese Navy. This is the first ship of the Yamato class, which, together with its twin Musashi, were the largest battleships built in the history of mankind. The main idea of building such powerful warships was an arms race with the USA, which dominated the Pacific. Construction of the Yamato began in 1937 and was commissioned on 16 December 1941, a week after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The ship was armed, among others, with nine monstrous 460 mm guns. Its total length is as much as 263 meters, width 38.9 meters, draft 11 meters and displacement 65,000 tons. It reached a top speed of 27 knots (50 km/h). Nearly 2500 people served on the ship. She was sunk in a major engagement on 7 April 1945 by American torpedo planes and bombers.

The battleship Yamato is a huge model made of COBI construction blocks. Like other warships, it was designed in a model scale of 1:300. The latest edition even more faithfully reflects even the smallest details and details of its historical prototype. After assembling 2665 elements, the battleship's body is as much as 90 cm (30.4") long and 19.5 cm (7.7") cm high. It has many moving elements such as: on-board guns and anti-aircraft batteries, rotating artillery towers, rudder or propellers. The set comes with a special display stand with a plate on which the name of the ship is printed. A beautiful addition is a unique brick imitating the Golden Orchid, which is an imperial symbol that decorated the bow of the ship. The model is ideal for all lovers of history, military, marine and military technology. It looks great, arousing admiration and interest! Thanks to the intuitive instruction based on clear icons, the construction is simple and does not cause difficulties. The estimated construction time of the model is about 8 hours.
